BorgBase launched V'Ger, a new Rust-based backup client that combines the best features of Borg, Borgmatic, Restic, and Rustic into a single tool. V'Ger offers approximately 2x the speed of Restic, supports multiple backends (local, S3, SFTP), includes built-in scheduling and retention, and features a simple desktop GUI. The announcement was made on LowEndTalk, where BorgBase originally launched as a beta nearly 10 years prior.
