Netdata is a real-time infrastructure observability platform built around an open-source monitoring agent that collects per-second metrics from servers, containers, Kubernetes clusters, and applications. The platform uses a distributed edge-native architecture where each agent stores and analyzes data locally, enabling zero-configuration deployment with automatic dashboards and machine learning-based anomaly detection. Netdata Cloud provides a commercial SaaS and on-premises offering for centralized multi-node monitoring, while the core Netdata Agent remains free and open source under the GPLv3+ license.
