Sapient Intelligence

Sapient Intelligence is developing brain-inspired artificial general intelligence through its Hierarchical Reasoning Model (HRM), a novel recurrent architecture that uses two interdependent modules — a high-level slow planner and a low-level fast executor — to perform complex reasoning tasks in a single forward pass without chain-of-thought prompting or large-scale pretraining. With only 27 million parameters trained on 1,000 samples, HRM outperforms much larger models on abstract reasoning benchmarks including ARC-AGI, Sudoku, and maze-solving tasks.
