Tangled

Federated social coding platform

Helsinki, Finland
Founded 2025

Tangled is a social-enabled, federated code collaboration platform built on the AT Protocol, designed as an open alternative to centralized code hosting services. The platform enables developers to host Git repositories, review code, and collaborate in a decentralized network where users own their data. Tangled is developed by Tangled Labs Oy, a Helsinki-based startup founded in 2025 by brothers Anirudh and Akshay Oppiliappan. The core platform is open source and self-hostable, allowing developers and organizations to run their own nodes on the network.
